About Dr. Amir Kazemi
- Dr. Amir Kazemi, PT, DPT, MS, OCS, CSCS, is the founder and CEO of Apex Physical Rehabilitation & Wellness since 1999, with multiple clinics proudly serving the Greater Houston area.
- He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University and a Master’s in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University; where he served as adjunct clinical faculty from 2000- 2006. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in physiological psychology from George Mason University. He has been practicing since 1999 and is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist. He is a certified functional abilities evaluator and certified as a clinical instructor from the American Physical Therapy Association. He has provided orthopedic physical therapy clinical education for several universities. He is also licensed to practice in West Virginia, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa and Delaware.
- Dr Kazemi has proudly served in US Navy and as a physical therapist in the US Army for a total of 17 years.

I am committed to impartiality and dedicated to upholding the highest standards of the profession. My clinical references are mainly from APTA Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, The PT Journal and The Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy.
Expert witness experience
Dr Kazemi has served as an expert witness since 2005. He initially Served as a standard of care, utilization review and billing and coding expert in work comp cases from 2005-2010 for the Houston Independent School District. In 2010 He began providing expert witness services as it related to standard of care, Medical Malpractice and Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs). He has served as a testifying expert in depositions and court proceedings.
