Do you need a physician’s referral to start PT?

You don’t always need a doctor’s referral to start physical therapy in Texas, but our policy is that we require one. That’s because it’s generally safer and considered to be best practice to get a physician’s referral before beginning treatment.

If you don’t have a physician’s referral, our Patient Care Coordinators are here to assist you in getting one.

How do I know what my PT will cost and do you accept my health insurance?

Physical therapy is covered by most insurance plans. However, many people choose to get physical therapy without insurance or when not a medical necessity.

We accept a variety of insurance plans as shown in the list below (click on the toggle “+” to open the list), as well as major credit cards.

You can also use our Insurance PreCheck form to get us started with verifying your coverage and letting you know what to expect for copays.

IMPORTANT: Insurance companies have a variety of plans like HMO, PPO, and others. To understand what costs your insurance covers and what you’ll pay, complete our Insurance PreCheck Form.

We Accept Private Insurance*, Medicare, Medicaid, or Self-Pay

Your health insurance carrier may pay for some or all of your prescribed physical therapy. All locations accept Medicare, Medicaid, and direct (self) payment.

Physicians: For your convenience, you can use either of the Referral Form links below to initiate your physical therapy services prescription. All referrals submitted through the forms are secure and HIPAA compliant when used in conjunction with your secure email.

The Webform allows you to initiate your referral and attach your documents for patient demographics and physical therapy services prescription. After submitting your webform, a confirming copy of your referral with the attachments will be sent to your email.
